In this course, academic leaders will learn how to make important decisions in guiding their faculty on how to design, build, and implement their courses in an unpredictable setting that toggles between Virtual and Face to Face Teaching and Learning.
In WEEK 1, participants will do a deep dive into the standards and principles for course designing, course building and teacher competency in Hybrid Learning environments.
In WEEK 2, participants will learn the importance of having a specific cadence and template to guide their teachers through the course building and designing. We will explore best practices for creating your Hybrid Course Cadence and template and give you an LMS evaluation tool to assess your LMS readiness to deliver Hybrid Learning.
In WEEK 3, participants will collectively create a professional development plan along with a communication plan that communicates fall prep to teachers and faculty. Participants will also use a Readiness tool to determine their faculty and school readiness for the fall.
Administrators will be guided through a 3 week asynchronous online course. The course will be class paced with both content-driven and engagement-driven tasks. Each week, one module will be released.
Participants will spend approximately 4 to 5 hours a week completing necessary tasks for the course.
Participants who submit all course work on time will receive a course certificate that can be used for continuing education.
Throughout the course, administrators will collaborate with each other through discussion boards and short videos.
