ISLA DATABASE PROJECT
OVERVIEW
The ISLA Database Project is an effort to create a comprehensive directory for Islamic schools in the US and a data-based profile of Islamic schools in the US based on responses to a survey administered by ISLA to Islamic school leaders.
The goals are therefore two-fold:
- Create an updated directory of full-time Islamic schools in the US
- Provide a data-based profile of Islamic schools that identifies trends, strengths and challenges
NOTE FROM RESEARCH PROJECT MANAGER: DR. SAMAR AL-MAJAIDEH
The ISLA Database Project continues to make significant progress, including developing and implementing the survey tool, collaborating with experts and organizations, and collecting valuable data from participating Islamic schools, approximately 35% of our estimated total U.S. Islamic Schools.
We remain committed to providing a comprehensive and reliable resource for the Islamic education community, promoting its usage, and fostering research opportunities.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to all of our esteemed advisors, collaborators, benefactors, and practitioners for their invaluable contributions. As we move forward, we look forward to delivering exceptional results, including a data-driven profile of Islamic schools and an up-to-date directory.
EMERGING FINDINGS REPORT
Some emerging findings have been shared with our constituents. It’s important to note that these findings will change as we clean data and engage in further analysis. These are not meant to be used in research, but to demonstrate the value of the project to our constituents – you!
