Al Madina School of Richmond is recruiting highly qualified, dedicated and professional teachers for all subjects for the 2020-2021 school year, beginning August 2020 (pending Governor Northam’s directives).   • 2nd Grade through 5th Grade Homeroom Teachers

Middle and High School 6th Grade through 11th Grade Math Courses Including

  • Algebra I & II
  • Geometry
  • Pre Calc
  • Advanced Mathematics

Middle and High School 6th Grade through 12th Grade History Courses

Middle and High School 6th Grade through 12th Grade Science Courses

Middle and High School 6th Grade through 12th Grade Language Arts Cours

Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Instructing developing and supporting students based on data driven results in a dynamic classroom environment
  • Ensuring through teacher mentor-ship, that students embody the Islamic values of patience, integrity and respect for all creation
  • Developing and maintaining safe spaces that are spiritually, academically and socially conducive to effective learning
  • Preparing teacher-generated lesson plans based on the VA SOLs and the 7 step lesson plan
  • Assessing student learning on an ongoing basis and differentiating instruction to meet group/individual needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in planning and delivering instruction
  • Demonstrating and committing to the forward motion of the education process through continuous learning as it applies to perfecting the skill set of teaching

Qualifications :

Requires knowledge of the pedagogical approach to teaching concepts, class management and general principles of instruction. Possesses general knowledge of adhering to curriculum and pacing for the purpose of developing instructional goals. Designs and delivers effective instruction, to assess and adjust teaching strategies to differentiate instruction for optimal student learning. Permeates a keen sense and ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing. Maintains a reasonable sense of decision making, problem analysis, conflict resolution as a necessary part of interpersonal, student, teacher parent relationships.


  • Baccalaureate Degree/ Teacher Certification Eligible
  • Experience working with children / previous teaching experience
  • Experience in working with teachers and student learners from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Experience in classroom learning and management
