Dean of Student Affairs

Description and Requirements


To oversee the student body regarding but not limited to discipline, review and maintain student records specifically to discipline and attendance, and ensure school policy implementation by teachers.


  • Student Discipline
  • Manage the discipline for the entire Academy
  • Provide direction and assistance to the Principals
  • Create and execute the disciple policy in association with the Director of Operations
  • Ensure that the students follow the discipline policy and that the policy is implemented across the two buildings
  • Provide feedback to the Board with regard to the discipline policies and its’ implementation
  • Ensure policy implementation (teachers)
  • Ensuring that the teachers follow policy guideline with respect to classroom management, managing the students in their class and keeping the Islamic values upheld
  • Review and maintain student records specifically to discipline
  • Discipline files
  • Infraction reports
  • Teacher comments
  • Parent meeting minutes
  • Establish a discipline baseline for those students who have been consistently having discipline issues at the school and provide a plan that should show quantifiable progress in the school
  • Ensure the Board is informed of all the discipline issues that may be getting serve particular to a student and provide remedial suggestions on the same
  • All students’ expulsions will be in conjunction with the Discipline Committee.
  • Assist the leadership team in upholding the Islamic Moral values of the Academy’s environment, curriculum, and activities.
  • Assist Principals with discipline and advises
  • Communicates attendance and discipline policy to students, teachers and staff
  • Hears and acts on attendance problems referred by teachers and or attendance personnel
  • Oversees attendance incentive program
  • Works with the guidance department in identifying and working with at risk student
  • Assist with school security


To the best of your ability, be available and visible during:

  • Morning assembly
  • Salah time
  • Parent, teacher and staff orientation
  • PTO and ISF meetings
  • Other school events


  • Perform other duties as assigned by Head of School



  • A. or B.S. degree Science and Psychology, or related discipline desired.
  • Master’s preferred in counseling, educational administration or similar field
  • Masters in Education
  • Teaching experience preferred


Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Head of School in accordance with the school policies and procedures
