Qur’an Blossoms Classroom

Rising Stars Academy at MAS Dallas is seeking a passionate and qualified Arabic, Qur’an, and Islamic Studies Teacher to join our Qur’an Blossoms classroom – a language-rich, faith-centered early elementary environment dedicated to nurturing identity, excellence, and love for the Qur’an.

Position Overview

The teacher will lead instruction in Arabic language, Qur’an with proper tajweed, and foundational Islamic Studies for early elementary students in an immersive Arabic and structured classroom setting.

We are looking for an educator who combines strong academic preparation with warmth, classroom leadership, and a deep commitment to cultivating love for sacred knowledge.

Qualifications

1. Fluency in Fusha (Modern Standard Arabic) and English – spoken and written
2. Strong, correct tajweed with ability to model proper Qur’anic recitation
3. Bachelor’s degree or certification in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field
4. Teaching certification (or equivalent credentials) Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field
5. Background in Arabic education and language pedagogy
6. Experience teaching early elementary students
7. Strong classroom management skills
8. Ability to create structured, engaging lesson plans
9. Commitment to Islamic character development and tarbiya

Preferred Attributes

1. Experience in immersion or dual-language programs
2. Familiarity with skills-based assessment and placement methods
3. Ability to differentiate instruction
4. Collaborative mindset and professionalism
5. Warm, nurturing presence with young learners

Responsibilities

1. Teach Arabic language across reading, writing, listening, and speaking
2. Lead Qur’an recitation with correct tajweed
3. Teach age-appropriate Islamic Studies curriculum
4. Assess student progress using structured evaluation tools
5. Communicate regularly with parents
6. Collaborate with the Education Director and instructional team
7. Contribute to a positive, mission-driven school culture
