Corporate Member Highlight: Hidayah Services

As we kick off the new year, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of ISLA’s newest corporate members: Hidayah Services. This organization is dedicated to empowering Muslim students through the college application process, offering invaluable support tailored to their unique needs. To give our community a closer look at their impactful work, we sat down with Br. Salman Khan, the founder of Hidayah Services, for an exclusive interview. Here’s what he shared about their mission, approach, and the resources they provide to Islamic schools and students nationwide.

How would you describe what Hidayah Services offers and its unique approach to college counseling?

  • Hidayah Services guides Muslim students through the college application process with expertise & excellence. With over 15 years of experience supporting Islamic schools and working in the college admissions space at the highest level, our focus is on supporting Muslim students to be the best versions of themselves as they graduate high school and transition into college. We also offer workshops to help Islamic schools develop their college counseling programs.

Could you share a success story that continues to inspire you in your work?

  • Alhamdulilah we have helped Muslim students gain acceptances to colleges like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton, while also becoming QuestBridge National College Match Finalists and Gates Millennium Scholars.

What would you say is one essential piece of information everyone should know about Hidayah Services?

  • Integrate the Muslim Student Profiles into your schools to help Muslim high school students see real examples of successful Muslim college students! Resources like these cost $50-$100/profile and we have made them free for the community. We also released a lesson plan to help teachers use this in their classrooms.
