Islamic Studies Teacher:

Candidate Requirements:

All candidates must have a legal work status in the United States.

Educational Criteria:

1. Masters / Bachelors with concentration in Islamic Sciences, Or
2. Degree and Certification from any renowned Islamic Institute, Or
3. Any affiliation with a renowned Islamic Institute.

Work Experience: 

1. Preferably have some level of experience in teaching. This entails Islamic, Public or Sunday schools. 
2. Any experience with masjid or any youth organization.
3. Letters of recommendation and/or contacts of previous, administrators/mentors, will be requested.

Skills and Competencies:

Fluent and well versed in English.

1. Leadership skills. 
2. Self motivated and has the passion to inspire and bring about a change. 
3. Interest in philanthropy. 
4. Interest in curriculum design/ development.
5. Fluent and well versed in English and Arabic. 
6. -Can relate to the youth and understand the challenges they face

Responsibilities:

1. Primary focus are high school and junior high level students. 
2. Can be assigned to any middle or upper elementary level, if such need arises.
3. Overseeing the curriculum and power point presentations prepared for middle and high school students. Provide necessary assistance to modify and improve them. 
4. Number of classes per day can be four or five with preparation time provided. If assigned for curriculum overseeing, they may be reduced to fewer. 
5. Arrangements can be made for compensation if extra duty is requested temporarily. 
6. Teaching contemporary issues to junior high and high school students. 
7. The courses will be distributed between three teachers for middle and high school students. These include ‘Aqeedah, Fiqh (taharah, salah, sawm, zakah, marriage and divorce, finances), Tarbiyyah, Counseling, Seerah, Life of Prophets A and Sahabah R, Hadith collection and narrators, I’mma arb’a and Islamic history. The courses will be assigned according to teachers’ expertise. 

Homeroom Elementary Teacher

4. Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and a passion for working with children.
