Genesee Academy, a prek-12th Cognia accredited school, is seeking a dedicated and experienced principal to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
– Educational Background: Master’s in Educational Leadership or related fields. Ideal candidate will have 5 years of teaching/administrative experience.
– Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with Islamic studies, Arabic, and secular education, ensuring alignment with Michigan Common Core Curriculum .
– Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and students while fostering a positive school culture .
– School Operations Experience: Proficiency in staff management, budgeting, policy implementation, and strategic planning .
– Student Support & Discipline: Skilled in behavior management, counseling, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment .
– Academic Monitoring: Experience in monitoring student academic progress and implementing appropriate interventions where needed .
– Teacher Evaluation: Ability to evaluate teacher effectiveness and provide professional development opportunities .
– Process Improvement: Continuously improving processes to ensure smooth school operations with accountability and documentation .
