Teacher

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate learning for multi-age pupils

2. Meet weekly with individual students to set and evaluate academic goals and discuss any topic

3. Communicate monthly with parents on student progress

4. Maintain classroom records

5. Meet with principal for monthly reporting on key metrics and any key issues

6. Participate in curriculum and development team

7. Participate in on-going in-service and educational development opportunities

8. Assist with any tasks in addition to the duties listed

9. Evaluate and report effectiveness of programs

10. Typical work hours: M – F: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in addition to in-service and professional

development workshops

Knowledge/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and Teacher credential; CA teaching license

Skills & Abilities

• Good computer literacy, including social media and networking

• Knowledge of grammar, principles of writing and comprehension

• Understanding of and experience with a number of curricula

• Ability to do research and develop curriculum through high school
