Patricia Salahuddin

Patricia Zahirah Salahuddin, Ed.D.

Dr. Patricia Zahirah Salahuddin is an educator and educational leader with more than 35 years of experience serving middle and high school students in both public and Islamic school settings. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Islamic Schools League of America (ISLA) as a Member-at-Large and chairs the Board Expansion Committee, where she supports organizational growth and leadership development. Dr. Salahuddin strongly aligns with ISLA’s mission to foster the development, sustainability, and quality of Islamic schools across the country.

Dr. Salahuddin holds a master’s degree in public administration and brings strong organizational, governance, and leadership expertise to her work. She has served on numerous national and local boards, including the Clara Muhammad Schools Network (CMS), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the South Florida Muslim Federation Executive Committee, and Salah Tawfiq Elementary & Middle Islamic School (STEMS). She also serves as a team leader with People Acting for Community Together (PACT), a grassroots organization promoting justice and equity in Miami-Dade County.

An accomplished author, Dr. Salahuddin has written extensively on education in Muslim schools and is the author of Character Education: A Case Study of a Muslim School’s Curricula. In 2025, she received the Lifetime Service Award from ISLA  and in 2022, she received the ISNA Education Forum Lifetime Service Award. She is a proud mother of five and grandmother of seventeen.
