Join us for an engaging discussion with Afeefa Syeed, Director of the Center for Innovative Religious Education (CIRE) on how to design and implement an Engaged Religious Education.

This session will explore a framework for intentional religious education and literacy through seven dimensions that encompass school culture, climate, and curriculum.

Participants will interact on questions about their own school’s practices and programs as they align with the areas of Values and Beliefs, Intentional Action, Relationship, Meaning and Purpose, Awe and Wonder.

Takeaways:  1. Participants will recognize the elements of what engaged religious education are. 2. Participants will identify challenges and opportunities in their own context to implement engaged religious education.  3. Participants will develop/create their own implementable actions in relation to engaged religious education in their context.
