7-8 pm CST
60 minutes
Speaker: Dr. Amber Khan
Webinar Description:
This seminar is designed to help teachers at the lower elementary, middle, and high school levels talk about puberty in a way that is clear, age-appropriate, and rooted in Islamic values. Puberty includes physical, mental and emotional aspects. On the physical side, we will discuss basic reproductive anatomy and unique health issues for Muslim students, including the fiqh of hygiene and ritual purity. Mentally and emotionally, we will explore attraction and desire, changing friendships, and the role of devices and online life. Spiritually, we will emphasize accountability before Allah and how growing up means taking responsibility for one’s choices, both in private and in public.
