Homeroom Teacher for Grades 1st, 2nd or 3rd

We are seeking a 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade teacher in an Islamic Elementary School institution for full-time from Mon-Fri.

The teacher should be capable of teaching all standard subjects of Math, Science, History, English Grammar, etc. The teacher should also be fluent in speaking English.

Key Responsibilities

Core Instruction:

● Teach Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts & all other grade appropriate subjects.

● Employ a variety of teaching methods that reflect student aptitudes, learning styles, and backgrounds.

● Employ a variety of teaching methods that reflect student aptitudes, learning styles, and backgrounds.

● Arabic Specialist: Lead Arabic language lessons, focusing on literacy, grammar, and conversation.

● Student Mentorship: Serve as a positive male role model per the Sunnah of the Prophet, supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of young students in accordance with Deen. Classroom Management & Environment:

● Maintain a disciplined, clean, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

● Create a motivating and positive classroom environment.

● Demonstrate classroom management skills.

● Set clear classwork and homework expectations.

● Maintain current textbooks and instructional resources that support classroom learning.

● Strive to understand students’ strengths and challenges and cooperate with the student, parents, and administration in finding solutions to student challenges.

● Address parents’ queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

● Communicate and cooperate with colleagues and administrative staff in furthering the greater mission of the institution.

● Assessment: Utilize a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student performance and communicate progress effectively to parents and administration.

Qualification Requirements

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. (Master degree preferred)

● Languages: Native or professional fluency in English. (Arabic also preferred)
