Literacy Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide targeted, research-based literacy instruction in small groups or one-on-one
2. Assess student reading levels and monitor ongoing progress
3. Develop and implement individualized support plans for struggling readers and writers
4. Collaborate with classroom teachers to align literacy support with curriculum goals
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with staff and families as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in education, English, or a related field.
2. Experience providing literacy instruction
3. Experience supporting students in small-group settings.
4. Strong Understanding of reading and writing development.
5. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
