The LMS Officer oversees the Learning Management System and digital learning tools of Ribaat University and the Ribaat Academic Institute. This role is vital for creating an effective and positive digital learning environment for teachers, students, and team members, enhancing the user experience, and ensuring all stakeholders have a clear understanding of how to utilize Ribaat’s digital learning platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong technological and organizational skills with a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to create and deliver effective educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Management System Management

  1. Create and maintain courses within the LMS, ensuring consistent formatting and usability across all courses.
  2. Migrate educational content into the LMS, adjusting as needed to provide the optimum learning experience.
  3. Develop and integrate engaging, interactive activities to enhance the learning experience in collaboration with instructors.
  4. Provide tech support for students, faculty, staff, and volunteers, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.

Student Information System Management

  1. Oversee SIS installation, updates, security, and performance.
  2. Ensure accurate, consistent, and secure handling of student records and information.
  3. Generate reports, support analytics, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  4. Coordinate integrations with other systems and implement process improvements.

Digital Classroom Management (Zoom)

  1. Set up and manage Zoom classrooms, linking them to courses within the LMS.
  2. Share login information with instructors and admins and provide tech support for any issues.
  3. Manage cloud storage and archive or delete recordings as needed.

Training and Professional Development of Staff

  1. Provide training for new and current instructors and team members on LMS features and tools.
  2. Train new instructors and team members on digital classroom tools.
  3. Create on-demand training courses for instructors and team members to provide ongoing professional development.

Course Administration Oversight

  1. Supervise the Course Admin Team, including volunteers and the Course Admin Coordinator, to ensure smooth administration of all classes.

Registration and Enrollment Support

  1. Coordinate with the admissions and registration teams to streamline student enrollment and course registration processes.
  2. Ensure student records are accurately maintained, including registration and withdrawal records. 

Reporting and Data Management

  1. Provide comprehensive reports on LMS activities, SIS activities, student data, and registration metrics.
  2. Collaborate with the communications team to share relevant student data for outreach purposes.

Additional Administrative Functions 

  1. Manage course evaluations, ensuring feedback collection and integration into course improvements.
  2. Oversee WhatsApp communications for courses, ensuring efficient student-faculty interactions. 
  3. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Management information systems (MIS), Educational Technology, Instructional Design or similar (Master’s preferred).
  2. Experience managing an LMS or similar digital learning platform.

  2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with different stakeholders.
  3. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for tech-related challenges and operational improvements.
  4. Adaptability to evolving technology and academic needs.
  5. Knowledge of academic operations and compliance requirements.

SKILLS

  1. Strong technical skills with LMS platforms and digital learning tools.
  2. Fluency in English. 
  3. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
  4. Copying skills are a plus.
