The Islamic Academy of Alabama is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts Teacher to join our team of educators committed to academic excellence, character development, and student success. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction
- Teach reading comprehension, literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional activities
- Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student learning through various assessment tools and provide timely feedback
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Monitor and support student progress, communicating with parents and guardians as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or English (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid state teaching certification in English Language Arts or eligibility to obtain
- Classroom experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Proficiency with instructional technology and digital tools
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Islamic Academy of Alabama
Pay: $30,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
