The DCA Montessori classroom is a nonprofit, single classroom. Our mission is to provide an environment that promotes a love of learning, independence, responsibility, socialization, grace, and courtesy.
The DCA is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals in the field of Early Childhood Education that are bright, and caring individuals who are present with the children.
Requirements:
Montessori certification Required.
Minimum of one year of experience teaching in a preschool setting.
Strong understanding of the Montessori philosophy and its application in the classroom desired.
Experience creating a warm, inviting, and stimulating learning environment.
Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Montessori curriculum.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a prepared Montessori classroom environment.
Guide and observe children as they engage in self-directed learning activities.
Present Montessori materials and lessons in a clear and concise manner.
Document children’s progress and development using Montessori observation methods.
Create & maintain excellent consistent communication with parents and guardians verbally, in writing.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning experience for all children.
Maintain & update continuously classroom parent portal.
