Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teacher at The Ark Academy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young learners’ educational journeys, while integrating good values and the Finland model of education. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Crafting and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs and passions of individual students, aligned with our student-centered philosophy and the Finland model.
2. Cultivating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that not only encourages academic growth but also embraces faith, critical thinking, and open dialogue.
3. Infusing our core values of faith, curiosity, compassion, and collaboration into daily lessons and activities.
4. Employing a diverse range of teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
5. Establishing robust communication channels with students, parents, and fellow educators, fostering a strong partnership in the educational journey.
6. Continuously evaluating and tracking student progress, adapting instruction as necessary to ensure academic excellence and emotional well-being.
7. Actively participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated with educational trends and the tenets of the Finland model.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
2. Relevant teaching certification and experience, preferably with an emphasis on elementary education.
3. A demonstrated commitment to faith-centered, student-centered teaching and cultivating a positive classroom ethos.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students within our faith-driven context.
5. A fervor for continuous learning and staying attuned to innovative teaching methodologies and the principles of the Finland model.
