Panama City Advanced School (PCAS) is seeking an enthusiastic elementary school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. PCAS is a Cognia-accredited Muslim private school serving students from preschool through 12th grade. We are looking for a dedicated educator to foster and facilitate the intellectual, spiritual, and social development of our students. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, with half-days on Fridays. As an elementary teacher at PCAS you will: plan, implement, and assess engaging lessons. Create a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Teach with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Design instructional activities that motivate and inspire students. Responsibilities
- Design and follow a complete teaching plan
- Organize learning material and resources
- Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc.) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
- Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
- Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
- Cooperate with administration staff
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven working experience as elementary teacher or teachers aide.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
- Creative and artistic teaching abilities
- Teaching and organization skills
- Patience and flexibility
- Strong communication skills
- Strong team player helping to support school culture, benefiting both students and staff.
- Keep abreast with the latest trends and best practices
- BSc degree in education or relevant license/certificate
