Panama City Advanced School (PCAS) is seeking an enthusiastic elementary school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. PCAS is a Cognia-accredited Muslim private school serving students from preschool through 12th grade. We are looking for a dedicated educator to foster and facilitate the intellectual, spiritual, and social development of our students. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, with half-days on Fridays. As an elementary teacher at PCAS you will: plan, implement, and assess engaging lessons. Create a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Teach with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Responsibilities

  1. Design and follow a complete teaching plan
  2. Organize learning material and resources
  3. Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc.) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
  4. Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
  5. Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
  6. Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
  7. Cooperate with administration staff
  8. Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations

Skills

  1. Proven working experience as elementary teacher or teachers aide.
  2. Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
  3. Creative and artistic teaching abilities
  4. Teaching and organization skills
  5. Patience and flexibility
  6. Strong communication skills
  7. Strong team player helping to support school culture, benefiting both students and staff.
  8. Keep abreast with the latest trends and best practices
  9. BSc degree in education or relevant license/certificate
