Corporate Member Highlight: Muslim Memories

We had the pleasure of connecting with Muslim Memories, one of our valued corporate members, to learn more about their inspiring work. In an exclusive interview, we asked Sr. Hiba Sheik, Founder/ Owner, to explore the mission behind Muslim Memories, the impact of their work, and the vision that drives them. Here’s what she had to share:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Muslim Memories is the largest online Islamic retail shop in the U.S., specializing in Islamic books, educational toys, and gifts for all ages. We also organize Islamic book fairs across the U.S. to inspire the love of Islamic learning in school communities and to help children connect with their identity.
The idea behind Muslim Memories was born from a deep sense of purpose — as a child, I never had access to Islamic books or products. As for an Islamic book fair? That was unheard of! We wanted to change that for the next generation. Our goal, the reason we exist, is to help Muslim children feel proud of who they are and build a strong connection with their faith. This is why our slogan is “Where Islamic Learning Begins!”
Did You Know?
One thing I would love for people to understand is that representation matters – deeply. When Muslim children see books, toys, and book fairs in their schools that reflect their Islamic faith and culture, it nurtures their confidence, identity, and sense of belonging. I have pictures that schools send me of Khadija, a student beaming because she’s holding a doll that has her name! Or Zakariya holding a Muslim boy doll that shares his name.
You see, it isn’t just about products; it’s about connecting in fun and interactive ways to Islam that shapes and affirms who they are as proud Muslims.
Incorporating Islamic values into products and workplace procedures:
At Muslim Memories, Islamic values are at the heart of everything we do — from the products we choose to the way we treat one another as a team. We prioritize honesty, integrity, and intention in our business practices, ensuring our work aligns with Islamic principles like ihsan (excellence), Amanah (trust), and compassion.
Our products are carefully selected to ensure they align with scholar-approved content. We take this responsibility very seriously, knowing that parents trust us to do the research and vetting necessary to provide safe and reliable Islamic resources for their children.  We view our work not just as a business, but as a form of responsibility, service and barakah.
Future Goals:
Our vision is to continue expanding access to Islamic educational resources across the U.S. We want every Muslim child to experience the joy of seeing their faith reflected in books, toys, and events made just for them.
In the future, we hope to bring Islamic book fairs to every Islamic school in the country and build lasting partnerships that strengthen Muslim identity and learning from a young age! Our ultimate goal is to help children build a strong connection to Islam with the help of our Islamic books & Islamic educational products!
