At the Islamic Schools League of America (ISLA), we recognize that preparing students for life beyond high school is a critical part of the work Islamic schools do every day. As students transition from K–12 education into higher education, families and educators seek institutions that support not only academic success, but also the religious, social, and emotional well-being of Muslim students. This month, ISLA is pleased to spotlight one of our corporate members, Muslim Campus Life, a 501(c)(3) organization transforming higher education for Muslim students through advocacy, coalition-building, and education.
Muslim Campus Life’s mission is to elevate the needs of Muslim students on college campuses across the United States, guided by a vision where Muslim students have access to colleges that serve the full spectrum of their needs. For Islamic school educators supporting students as they prepare for college and life beyond high school, Muslim Campus Life offers resources that help students and families navigate the college journey with greater clarity and confidence.
Through advocacy, Muslim Campus Life champions the rights of Muslim students to practice their faith with dignity and peace of mind. The organization partners with campus leaders to strengthen religious accommodations and institutional support, helping colleges and universities better understand and respond to the needs of Muslim students. This work directly aligns with the values Islamic schools instill—ensuring students can carry their faith confidently into higher education environments.
Coalition-building is another core component of Muslim Campus Life’s approach. The organization connects chaplains, faculty, and staff while collaborating with campus and interfaith partners to create environments where Muslim students can thrive. These partnerships help build networks of support that extend beyond individual campuses and contribute to broader cultural and institutional change within higher education.
Education remains central to Muslim Campus Life’s work. Their Muslim College Guide provides practical guidance for prospective Muslim students and families navigating the college search process. Drawing on insights from experienced Muslim chaplains and higher education professionals, the guide addresses questions that are often not covered in traditional college counseling resources, offering families a more holistic lens through which to evaluate institutions.
In addition, the Muslim Campus Index collects and shares crowdsourced data on the services and resources colleges provide Muslim students across the United States. By increasing transparency around campus support—such as prayer space access, halal food options, and Muslim student services—the index equips families, counselors, and educators with information that can meaningfully shape college decision-making.

Muslim Campus Life has also hosted the Admissions Unlocked Webinar Series: College Admissions & College Life 101, designed to help Muslim students navigate college admissions pathways with clarity and confidence. These recordings can serve as a valuable tool for Islamic schools seeking to strengthen college readiness conversations with students and families.
