We are pleased to share the creation of the GoHijri Lesson Plan for the Productive Muslim Company by the Islamic Curriculum Initiative (ICI), a project near and dear to our hearts. This true collaboration aligns with ICI’s mission to decolonize our minds through an Islamic perspective and celebrate our unique heritage. The lesson plan offers engaging activities to help students see how dynamic and meaningful the Hijri calendar is, from tracking changing Salat times to understanding the cycles of the moon. It’s all about appreciating the richness of our traditions and embracing continuous growth and adaptation. This is a small step in bringing the Islamic worldview and heritage back into the classroom. We are excited to bring this to our community and help foster a deeper connection to our shared cultural and religious roots.
