Committed to Keeping Students Safe
ISLA works with National Muslim Task Force on COVID-19 (NMTF) and the National Black Muslim COVID Coalition (NBMCC) to produce Joint Statement on School Re-openings and COVID-19 Vaccines
For nearly a year, ISLA has been a member of the National Muslim Task Force on COVID-19, wherein it has participated in regular meetings and collaborated with other leading Muslim organizations to better understand the pandemic and how we can together mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, including at our masajid, work places, community events, and Islamic schools.
The following Joint Statement is just one by-product of our efforts to provide clarity, guidance and recommendations at a time when much confusion still surrounds COVID-19, especially as the Delta variant has different patterns of transmissibility and impact on various demographics.
Please find an infographic and letter below, which includes recommendations to Islamic school leaders. You will also find a “download” button below this letter if you are interested in sharing with others in your community. Please reach out to ISLA if you have any questions about reopening your school that we can share with the NMTF or NBMCC on COVID-19 Vaccines and School Reopenings.
