Dr. Samar Al-Majaideh has been instrumental in working with ISLA over the past year on various research projects, including data analysis for our COVID-19 & Islamic Schools: 2020-2021 Year in Review.

With a passion for academic research, she has focused on examining organizational behavior and dynamics related to leadership models, retention, engagement, and attendance. Dr. Samar earned a Master’s Degree and PhD in Organizational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.

A lifelong learner, she has also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Sciences from the American Open University, affiliated with Al-Azhar University in Cairo.  She has over 15 years of experience serving at multiple Islamic schools in Tennessee.  Dr. Samar has expertise as an instructor, director of student development and community engagement, director of Islamic Studies department, and principal.  In addition, Dr. Samar is a certified evaluator and has served on numerous school accreditation review teams.

Currently, she also works at Mishkah University in Texas, where she oversees Academic Operations.  In this role, she provides support in instructional leadership, program planning and implementation, faculty recruitment and evaluation, student support, and strategic planning.

Dr. Samar believes that education, specifically Islamic education, plays a vital role in bringing about social change. She is a firm believer that Islamic values are unique, while its teaching approaches should be updated and considered dynamic as they address the increasing challenges of modern society.
