Part-Time Janitor

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Facility & Real Estate Director, the main responsibilities of the Janitor are to keep maintenance and cleanliness of the premises support to the daily operations of the school.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cleans restrooms, including mop floors, dry sink counters, flush toilet & clean toilet seats as needed, restocking dispensers, emptying trash.
2. Fills out Day Porter log showing the time each bathroom is serviced. Follows safety rules and precautions.
3. Assisting lunch duty teachers with emptying trash cans in the cafeteria after each lunch period.
4. To make bathroom rounds 2-3 times per day
5. In between bathroom rounds, walk the parking lots and pick up debris on the floor.
6. Assist the Facility Manager with Campus Recreation programs, services, Facilities, general maintenance and construction principles, practices, and techniques
7. Assist with moving furniture or heavy items as and when required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Works well independently and has strong time management skills.
2. Highly responsible & reliable
3. Follows written and verbal instructions from the facility director.
4. Collaborates with other facility and maintenance workers as needed
5. Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, and lifting at least 35 pounds as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. At least 1 year of experience of professional cleaning experience is preferred.
