Teaching Classical Arabic with Real Competence
Arabic Daily is an accredited online program that teaches Classical Arabic to English speakers — adults, high school students, homeschool families, and Islamic schools across the United States.
The program was founded through the personal experience of learning Arabic as an English speaker and recognizing a gap in the landscape of Arabic education in America. Founder Faraz spent years moving through programs that were either academically rigorous but inaccessible, or accessible but unable to produce real language competency. After earning a Superior rating through ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages), he came to believe there was a missing model: one that combined the depth of traditional scholarship with the structure modern American students need.
Arabic Daily was built to fill that gap.
Using a curriculum specifically designed for English-speaking learners, Arabic Daily teaches live through experienced instructors in small cohort settings, supported by modern tools that keep students engaged between sessions. The goal is not simply exposure to Arabic, but the development of meaningful reading and translation ability in Classical Arabic.
“Our goal is real reading and translation competence in Classical Arabic — not just exposure to the language.”
One Thing Arabic Daily Wants Islamic Schools to Know
Arabic Daily is accredited through Cognia and WASC and approaches Classical Arabic as both a sacred language and an academic discipline.
Students earn high school foreign language credit that transfers to many U.S. high schools and strengthens college applications while also gaining the ability to read Classical Arabic texts at their source.
For Islamic schools, Arabic Daily offers a partnership model that allows schools to provide accredited Arabic instruction without needing to build the curriculum, train teachers, or manage the academic infrastructure internally.
“We can partner with schools to deliver an accredited Arabic program without schools needing to build the curriculum, train teachers, or manage the academic infrastructure in-house.”
What Sets Arabic Daily Apart
Arabic Daily identifies three major factors that distinguish its work from many other Arabic programs in the United States.
Curriculum Designed for English Speakers
Most Arabic programs in the U.S. are adapted from materials originally created for native speakers. Arabic Daily’s curriculum, however, was intentionally designed from the beginning for students whose first language is English — by someone who personally walked that path.
Live Cohort Learning
Arabic Daily operates through live cohorts rather than self-paced coursework. This structure creates accountability, consistency, and community among students moving through the program together.
“The completion rate for self-paced language programs is around 5–10%. Cohort students finish at dramatically higher rates because they have structure, accountability, and a community of peers moving forward together.”
Accredited Instruction
Arabic Daily’s Cognia and WASC accreditation allows students to earn transferable high school foreign language credit recognized by schools and colleges across the country.
While many organizations offer Arabic instruction, far fewer provide accredited coursework that can formally support students academically.
Incorporating Islamic Values
Classical Arabic is approached not only as a language, but as the language of the Quran, the Sunnah, and over 1,400 years of Islamic scholarship.
Arabic Daily shared that every aspect of the program — from pedagogy and instructor selection to community standards — reflects a sense of stewardship toward the language and its tradition.
“Every choice we make as a school reflects the belief that we are stewards of a language that matters more than any credential it produces.”
Internally, the organization emphasizes adab, honesty, integrity, and transparency in its operations and communication with families. Arabic Daily intentionally avoids high-pressure sales tactics or making claims they cannot substantiate.
“These principles aren’t separate from our work — they’re how we run the school.”
Goals for the Future
In the coming years, Arabic Daily hopes to significantly grow its student body while preserving the small, attentive cohort structure that defines its programs.
Its long-term vision is to become a trusted and accessible option for Islamic schools and homeschool families across North America seeking serious Classical Arabic instruction.
“We want students to access Classical Arabic — and through it, the Quran and the wider Islamic scholarly tradition — with real competence. Not just exposure. Real ability to read.”
